The Epiphone EL-00 is a great guitar for a player with a modest budget. I've owned one myself, and it was a real treat to play as I've always been partial to smaller-bodied guitars. The solid spruce top and the mahogany back and sides produce a sweet, yet punchy sound that really rings out. I'm glad that Epiphone has returned to the 24.75" scale on this guitar to match the Gibson L-00. (For awhile they went to a 25.5" scale--I never could figure that one out!)
